Dee Ann Dole, 70 of Colo, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.
Dee was born May 14, 1954, in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of John and Harriett (Bittner) Baker. She attended Union-Whitten Schools and graduated from New Providence High School in 1973. Dee was united in marriage to Ronald Lee Dole on November 22, 1974, at the Church of Christ in Marshalltown. To this union, two sons were born, Scott and Ryan.
Dee held various jobs during her life including GMI in Union, Wink Products in Eldora, and Pella Windows in Story City. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, watching golf, going out to eat and watching the Chicago Cubs play baseball. Her favorite was being a mom and being with her family. Dee loved to attend craft shows and go shopping and would always come home with something new.
Dee is survived by her husband Ron of Colo, and her sons Scott Dole of Colo and Ryan Dole of Grundy Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Rick and Mike Baker.
A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. Dee will be laid to rest privately at the Colo Cemetery in Colo.
Memorials may be given to the family in memory of Dee for their use to be determined at a later date.
