Della Clausing, aged 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025. She was born on July 11, 1940, in Neon, Kentucky, to the late Willie T. Potter and Rebecca June Potter (nee Vanover).
Della was a loving wife to her husband of 52 years, Clifford Clausing. She is survived by her devoted daughters: Tanya (Don) Bauer, Shawna (John) Herman, Lisa (John) Hauser, and Angela Bauer. She also leaves behind her cherished brother, Willie O. (Linda) Potter, and sister, Janet (Robert) Stern. Della was a proud grandmother to Sonya (Justin) Binne, Donnie (Jordan) Bauer, Kirsten (Brittany) Skelton, Justin Hauser, Brayden Hauser, Rachel Richardson, and Payton Smotherman, as well as six great-grandchildren. She is also remembered by many extended family members and friends.
Della had a passion for gardening and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as cleaning and baking wedding cakes. Her artistic spirit shone through in her beautiful flower arrangements. Della cherished her time at church and relished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved going on cruises, creating lasting memories with her loved ones.
In honor of Della's life, contributions may be made to Suncrest Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association. A funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 6:30 PM, with a visitation preceding the ceremony from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Della will be laid to rest on July 12, 2025, at 10 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery, 11200 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45246.
