Della Curnutte Obituary

Della E. Curnutte of Greensburg, Kentucky, was born on Saturday, January 19, 1935 in South Dakota and departed this life on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at her home. She was 90 years, 3 months, and 19 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith. She had a master's degree in nursing, worked as a school nurse, and for Dr. Desimone as a scrub nurse. She also taught at the Green County Vocational School.
She was united in marriage to Ivan Curnutte on October 2, 1956, who preceded her in death on February 3, 2021.
Survivors include one son: Michael "Alfie" Curnutte of Green County; one daughter-in-law: Katherine Curnutte Farmer of Lexington; three grandchildren: Cy Curnutte of Springfield, Rachel Curnutte of Lexington, Lauren Curnutte of Florida; one great grandchild: Kane McKinney of Florida.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son: Anthony Ellis "Tony" Curnutte in 2007.
Honoring her wishes, her body was donated to science with the University of Kentucky Willed Body Program.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11 A.M., Central Time, Friday, June 20, 2025 at the Greensburg Community Center.
Visitation prior to the Celebration of Life is requested after 9 A.M., until time of the service.
Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association which can be made at the funeral home or online at: Alzheimer's Association Donation
