Della Washum, 90, of Harrah, OK, passed from this life on July 6th, 2025, to be with the Lord and join her husband of 69 years, Joe.
She was born on September 16, 1934, in Keefeton, OK to Ray and Lell Weiher.
Della graduated from Warner High School. She married her husband Joe on September 11, 1953. Joe and Della raised three children, Elizabeth Gail Smith, Lois Ranell Collins, and Joseph Edwin, Jr. As Joe's career opportunities grew, she proudly supported her family moving to many different states, making every location a loving home. The family moved to Harrah, OK in 1972.
Della was preceded in death by her husband Joe, her parents Lell and Ray Weiher, and brothers Roy and Clarence Ray, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Gail Smith of Choctaw, son Joe Jr. of Owasso, and her daughter and son-in-law Ranell and Ed Collins of Edmond. Della is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and two grand fur babies that adored her.
She supported the Harrah United Methodist Church for 53 years. She was always ready to help, give advice, and share a hug. She will also be remembered for her coconut cream pie.
Visitation will be held at Barnes Friederich & Pope Funeral Home in Midwest City, Oklahoma on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 12pm to 8pm with formal visitation from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Harrah United Methodist Church at 2224 N. Harrison in Harrah, Oklahoma on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2:00 pm. The graveside service will be on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 10:00AM at the McLain Cemetery in McLain, Oklahoma. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Della, please visit our Tree Store.
