In Loving Memory of Della Green Langone
Della Green Langone, a proud daughter of Irvine, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on January 7, 1928, Della’s life was a testament to resilience, devotion, and the enduring power of family.
Della was the beloved mother of John Langone, Donald Langone, and Dana Calov. She was predeceased by her husband and the love of her life, John Langone, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage, as well as her dear daughters Ruth Christiana, Linda Manetta, and Pamela Drauch.
Her legacy lives on in her many grandchildren: James Shuffler, Michael Shuffler, Frank Manetta Jr., Christopher Manetta, John Manetta, Kenneth Langone, Deana Langone-Roper, Jaime Langone Vitale, Matthew Langone, Michael Langone, Jessica Marcotrigino, Amanda Drauch-Sciabica, Brittney Drauch-Fuentes, and Douglas J. Calov. She was also the cherished great-grandmother to many, each of whom brought immense joy to her long and fulfilling life.
An avid reader, Della found comfort and adventure in the pages of countless books. She carried her Kentucky heritage proudly, always keeping her hometown close to her heart no matter where life took her. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Della’s family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with those she loved and lost. Her spirit, stories, and southern grace will forever echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A burial will be held to honor her life and legacy on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to The Foundation of Appalachian Advancement.
