Della R. Willa, 86, of Wilson, passed away the morning of June 1, 2025 at the Bishop Noa Home.
Della was born on September 4, 1938 in Schaffer, MI, daughter of Homer and Alice Rose (Pepin) LaMarche and attended Escanaba High School. She was one of ten children in her family.
She married George Abraham Willa in 1961 in Escanaba, MI. They were able to spend over 50 years together before George's passing in August of 2013.
Della worked for the United States Postal Service in Wilson for several years as a rural carrier.
She enjoyed working on ceramics and traveling. Della was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Among survivors include her children, Carla Willa, Mike (Darla) Willa, Deneen (Mike) Berg, Douglas (Marsha) Willa, and Jeff (Sheila) Willa; grandchildren, Chris (Lucy) Hanna, Allissa (Elijah) Hobbs, Ryan Berg, McKaylee Berg, Spencer Willa, Natalie Willa, and Brooke Willa; great-grandchildren, George Hanna and Madelyn Hobbs; siblings, Linda (Emil) LaFave, Dale (Randy) Rosak, Debbie Kinsaul, Gerald (Debbie) LaMarche, and Alice "Micki" (Mark) Spry; along with several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Della is preceded in death by infant granddaughter, Bristyn Berg; and siblings, Patricia (Patsy) McMartin, Janice Nelson, Laurine Hopson, and Maurice LaMarche.
Visitation will take place at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding on Thursday, June 12th from 2 – 4 p.m. (Central Time). The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4 p.m. (Central Time) with Rev. Antony John officiating. At the conclusion of the mass, a meal will be served in the church hall.
Burial will take place at the Wilson Twp. Cemetery.
