Delmar Glenn Pfaff, lovingly known as Glenn, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 21st, 2025, at the age of 93 in the comfort of his home, where many loved ones recently were able to visit. His life began on Friday, February 5th, 1932, in Monroe County, Indiana. Glenn was the youngest of five children born to the late Delmar Orange and Stella May (Schwartz) Pfaff. After losing his mother at a young age, Glenn's father remarried to Mary Tarr and he gained not only a stepmother, but three half-sisters.
Glenn served his country honorably with the rank of Seaman Apprentice in the US Navy, serving in Japan during the Korean Conflict. He absolutely loved to travel, especially motorcycle trips with his wife, Linda. He would take anyone who was willing to go on adventurous trips to all over the world, including places such as Alaska, Texas, Arizona, Mexico, Canada, Hawaii and Huntington Island, Florida. Traveling and simply being outdoors were Glenn's favorite pastimes. He enjoyed camping, boating, hiking, fishing, backpacking and singing. He was also a boxer, winning many titles, including the Indianapolis Golden Glove Championship. Though Glenn loved many hobbies, there was nothing he loved more than his family and time he spent with them.
Glenn also deeply loved God and was a faithful member of Mt. Nebo Community Church in Martinsville. He served on various church boards, civic organizations, 4H and Girl Scouts, taking several girl scout troops as far away as Wyoming to go on ten-mile treks, and later taking his children and grandchildren.
He was an entrepreneur most of his life, obtaining training and licensing in various construction related professions. He and his beloved late wife, Barbara, started many businesses and endeavors, including office supply, craft stores, building homes and rental properties. They worked many years together before Barbara's passing.
On November 9th, 1985, Glenn married his dear wife, Linda (Goodman) Martin Pfaff. He and Linda shared a loving and beautiful life together for thirty-nine years. It was rare to see one without the other. Linda stayed very dedicated even when illness started to take its toll.
He leaves behind a host of loving family including his wife, Linda Pfaff of Martinsville, daughters Connie Marie Amos and Alicia Rhu Towell (Mike) both of Martinsville; ten grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and nineteen great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Mary Tarr Pfaff; late wife, Barbara Janet (Colglazier) Pfaff; sons, Glenn William "Billy" and Rev. Dell Edward Pfaff; stepson, Brent Martin; granddaughter, Chandra Towell-Crook; brother, Sam Pfaff; sisters, Thelma Myers, Angie Bower, Marcie Allen and Martha Minnick; and half-sisters, Mary Sutton, Bonnie Austin and Karen Loesch.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025, from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center and one hour prior to service time on Wednesday, February 26th at M1 Church (Martinsville First Church of the Nazarene), 1609 John R. Wooden Dr., Martinsville. A service celebrating Glenn's life will begin at 11:00 am Wednesday at the church. He will be laid to rest beside his late wife, Barbara, at Foster Cemetery in Martinsville.
