Kaplan, LA - A Service was held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 25, 2025, honoring the life of Deloria "Doe" Abshire, 84, who passed away on June 21, 2025. She was laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Cemetery.
She is survived by her four sons, John Abshire and wife Helen of Colorado Springs, CO, Eric Abshire of St. Francisville, LA, Eddie Abshire and wife Christine of Plano, TX, and James Abshire of Lewisville, TX; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Thibodeaux and husband Nick of Lafayette LA, Michelle Jasper and husband Aaron of Graham Washington, LA, Kristopher Abshire and partner Angelica of Colorado Springs, CO, and Brandon Abshire and wife Brooke of Plano TX; and seven great-grandchildren Kadence, Bryleigh, Kasyn, Jace, Kaiden, Mateo, and Amelia.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Abshire; her parents, Willis Bertrand and the former Mayola Baker; her sister Mary Abshire; and her brother Roy Bertrand.
All funeral arrangements are being conducted by Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan (337) 643-7276.
