Dena Marie Nicotra

It is with great sadness that the family of Dena Marie Nicotra announce her sudden passing on Monday, January 27th, 2025 at the age of 59 after a brief and resolute battle with cancer.Born December 25 1965, she was the daughter of the late Janice Ochs and Dennis Peacock. She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Timothy Nicotra and is survived by her two sons, Joshua Nicotra of Tehachapi and Zachary Nicotra of Vancouver, along with her siblings Beth Collins, James and Matthew Peacock.Known as "Momma D" to some, an author and a poet to others, and a kind soul to many. Dena lived a rich life, finding beauty and love in the people and places that surrounded her. She loved purely, and read an overwhelming amount of books. She will forever be remembered as a leader, a writer, and a paragon of grace and virtue.A memorial service will be held on March 14th, 2025, at 10:30am, at Wood Family Funeral Service Chapel located at 321 West F Street, Tehachapi, CA 93561.
