Denang Vashaun Brown Sr., age 50, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on November 22, 2025, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Hospital. Born on July 31, 1975, in Baton Rouge, Denang lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a spirit of entrepreneurship.
A proud graduate of Capital Senior High School, Denang built his career as a skilled brick mason, specializing in the art of creating pools and outdoor kitchens. His craftsmanship and dedication led him to establish Brown Masonry, where his vision and talent touched countless homes and families. Alongside his beloved wife, Kinesha White Brown, he also co-founded Eleven XI and Deuce Bar and Lounge, a testament to their shared passion for community and innovation.
Denang was a man of many joys. He loved to travel, embracing new experiences and cultures, and he was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, cheering them on with unwavering loyalty. More than anything, he cherished his family. He accepted Christ at an early age, and his faith guided him throughout his journey.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, survived by his devoted wife, Kinesha Brown; his sons Denang Brown Jr., Kendrick Burton, Kelvin Burton and Derrick Selvage Jr.; his mother. Winnie Faye Netters and father Bennie Netters Sr. (Martisia); siblings Deyaun Netters, Benshawn Netters, Bennie Netters Jr., Ben Netters and Brooke Netters; three grandchildren, Jayden Brown, Saila Brown and Yuri Burton; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Denang’s life will be celebrated with a viewing on Friday, November 28, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 6538 Mickens Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70811.
His memory will live on in the brick and mortar he laid, the businesses he built, the journeys he took, and the love he gave so freely.
