Denise M. (Hallinan) (Holmes) Bronsdon, 81, a longtime resident of Stoughton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones at her favorite daughter’s home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Daughter of the late Thomas A. and Helen Patricia (Sullivan) Hallinan, she was born in Somerville and raised in Stoughton. Denise was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1962 where she played varsity basketball.

Denise was a talented painter and an expert with her crochet hooks and knitting needles, generously making Irish sweaters, hats, gloves and blankets for family and friends.
She loved writing and researching her Irish heritage. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family; she was especially fond of her trip to Ireland where she visited with family and spent time at the Quiet Man bridge.
