Denise Givens

Denise Jayne Givens, 70, of Mt. Vernon, IN passed away, September 16, 2025 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. She was born April 3, 1955 in Evansville, IN to James Sr., and Geraldine "Jeri" (Steward) Givens.

Denise worked in security at General Electric for more than 20 years. She had a passion for Bingo and could always find joy in discovering a good bargain. Denise also loved cheering on her favorite sports and never missed a chance to watch a film starring Denzel Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Myles Givens.

Denise is survived by her sons, Trent Givens (Michelle), Todd Givens and Tyler Givens; daughter, Tracey Givens; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dennis Givens (Davetta), James Givens (Ardyth), Anthony Givens, Shawn Givens and Rodney Givens; sisters, Sue Young, Carla Maddox (Edward), Angie Livingston (Deon) and Dawn Owens (LaShone); aunt, Charlotte Smith; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her fur babies, Too Short and Navarro.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IN with Pastor Mark Tabor officiating.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
