Denise Ann "Denny" LeBlanc, of Braintree, formerly of Quincy and Hyde Park, a beacon of kindness and generosity, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on September 16, 1947, in Boston, Denise was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Geary) LeBlanc. She leaves behind a legacy of love, education, and community involvement that touched the lives of many.
Denise's early life in Boston set the stage for her lifelong dedication to learning and teaching. She was a proud graduate of St. Clare High School in Roslindale, and her passion for education led her to graduate from Cardinal Cushing College in Brookline, and then she went on to earn her Master's Degree in Education. This foundation propelled her into a fulfilling career as a Special Needs Teacher at Hyde Park High School, where she served with unwavering commitment for over 30 years. Denise retired in 2005, but the impact of her work resonated far beyond her departure, as evidenced by the prestigious "Golden Apple" award she received for her outstanding contributions to the Boston Public Schools.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Denise was a devoted sister to Dianne Foti and her husband Frank of Hingham, and Robert LeBlanc of Braintree. She was a cherished aunt to Nicholas Foti of Seattle, WA, Gregory Foti of Hingham, and Jacqueline Foti-Benko of Newtown, CT. Denise's love also extended to her grandnieces and grandnephews, who will fondly remember her warmth and the joy she brought to family gatherings.
Denise's interests reflected her loving and nurturing spirit. As a member of the Braintree Choral Society, she shared her love for music and community. An avid reader, she found solace and adventure within the pages of countless books. Known for her delicious pies, Denise's baking brought comfort and happiness to many. In her retirement, she embraced the role of caregiver for her mother and aunt, exemplifying her selfless nature.
Her life was not only one of service to her family and students but also one filled with the simple pleasures of spending time with loved ones. Denise's kind heart and generous spirit made her a cherished companion, and her presence at family events and friendly gatherings will be deeply missed.
Denise lived a life that was rich in love and service. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her, as they continue to be inspired by her dedication to making the world a better place for everyone she met. Her legacy is one of compassion, education, and the enduring power of kindness.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period on Friday, October 17th, from 9:30 – 11:30 AM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 Noon in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree. A private family burial will be held in the Millwoods Cemetery, Sutton, NH.
