Kaitlyn Eileen Haugh, of Braintree, formerly of Wareham, affectionately known to her family and friends as "Kate" or "KK", a beacon of love and kindness, passed away unexpectedly, on October 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of selfless devotion to her family and an unwavering spirit of adventure. Born on April 10, 1986, in Fairborn, Ohio, Kaitlyn's journey began as the cherished daughter of John and Elizabeth (Hester) Haugh of Braintree.
A graduate of Braintree High School's Class of 2004, Kaitlyn's thirst for knowledge led her to further her education at Quincy College. Her academic achievements were a testament to her determination and commitment to personal growth. Professionally, Kaitlyn found her calling in the field of medical coding, where she dedicated several years of service at South Shore Medical. Her colleagues will remember her as a diligent and caring professional who brought warmth and efficiency to her work.
Kaitlyn's life was a tapestry woven with the love of her family. She was the loving mother of Connor and Benjamin Haugh, both of Braintree, who were the center of her world. She embraced motherhood with all her heart, guiding her sons with grace and instilling in them the values of kindness and love that she embodied.
As a devoted sister, Kaitlyn shared an unbreakable bond with Stephen Haugh of Quincy, Erin Smith and her husband James of Weymouth, and Bridget DeYoung and her husband John of Abington. Her role as an aunt to Danielle, Emma, Gavin, Liam, Aiden, and Colin was one she cherished deeply, showering them with affection and joy at every opportunity.
Kaitlyn's relationship with her loving companion, Jake Seletsky of Cape Cod, was a source of strength and happiness in her life. Together, they built a partnership grounded in mutual respect and adoration. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved grandmother, Kathleen Hester of Braintree, whose guidance and wisdom were a guiding light throughout her life.
Her extended family, including many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, will fondly remember Kaitlyn as a pillar of love and support. Her innate ability to make each person feel valued and loved was a gift that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
Kaitlyn's interests reflected the essence of who she was-a wonderful mother and a lover of life's simple pleasures. She relished in going on adventures with her boys, exploring the world through their eyes, and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Her joy was found in the laughter and company of her family and friends, with whom she shared countless cherished moments.
To describe Kaitlyn as loving, kind, and selfless only scratches the surface of the profound impact she had on those around her. Her legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and unwavering love-a light that will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who knew her.
As we bid farewell to Kaitlyn, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, warmth, and an open heart. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will live on through the countless lives she has touched.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period on Wednesday, October 15th, from 9:30 – 11:30 AM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. I was a friend of both Connor and Benjamin Haugh, and I remember that over this summer we went on a vacation to Maine,it was the last time I ever saw her before she unfortunetly passed away,I really can't even imagine what those two kids must be going through right now,and if it was possible I would do anything in my power to give Connor and Benjamin their mother back, condolences to that entire family,I know that nothing will ever be able to fill the void that Katilyn left behind.
