Denise Rae (Tindle) Semones, 63, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Born on October 23, 1961, in Louisville, Kentucky, Denise was a vibrant and cherished soul whose warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her. There was never a lack of conversation as she loved to talk and have long heart to hearts. Her house was full of various beautiful crystals and pictures of her loved ones. She loved watching tarot readings on YouTube and checking her horoscope everyday. She believed in Angels and heaven and she loved Jesus very much.
Denise was known for her impeccable fashion sense, always stylish and unafraid to experiment with new hairstyles that reflected her dynamic personality. Her lively spirit was complemented by her joy for dance and nights out on the town. Her energy was magnetic and would overtake any room she stepped in to. An avid fan of Hallmark movies, she found comfort in their heartwarming stories. She adored babies and children always keeping a stock of toys at her house for her grandchildren and all the children in her neighborhood.
Above all, Denise's greatest love was for her family and friends. Known for her exceptional hospitality, she reveled in hosting holidays and family gatherings, creating joyful memories that will be cherished forever. She found immense happiness in being surrounded by her children's laughter and snuggling with her sweet dog Bella.
Denise was preceded in death by her husband, David Blanton; mother, Patricia Salinas; and her twin sister, Donnetta Tindle. She leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories through her surviving family, including her children, Dusty Semones (Duane Blanton), Trevor Semones (Amy), Brooke Semones (James Jones), and Lindsey Nobles (Travis). Her memory will also be honored by her 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, her brothers, Danny Fox (William Schwartz) and Kevin Graham (Donna Brown) her beloved best friend throughout her life, Sue Huffman as well as her cherished caretaker Alice Rabino, and her kind neighbors Damien Corbett and Kristy Stewart who cared for her until her last day here on earth.
She is further survived by her nephews, Dillon Eldridge and Chad Beimrohr, great-nephews Tommy and Frankie, and the father of her children, Luther Semones (Shelly Stephens).
Visitation for Denise will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions located at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, and will continue on Thursday after 10:00 a.m. Her funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
