Denise Marie Sleeper, age 53, of Royal Oak, passed away on March 5, 2025. She was born November 30th, 1971 in Lake Orion, Michigan.
Denise will be remembered as the loving mother of Courtney Sleeper. Proud grandmother of Empress and Pharaoh Sleeper. Dear sister of Derek (Vickie) Sleeper and aunt of Cody Sleeper. Denise is further survived by many friends and all her coworkers at Proctor Loan Protector. She was predeceased by her parents, Joan Lewandowski and Danny Lewandowski.
Denise was an avid football fan who loved the Detroit Lions. Perhaps the best way to describe Denise's outlook on life would be through her own words that she shared before she passed:
"My Dad always told me that we all put our pants on the same way, one leg at a time and to keep that in mind when people thought they were better. As they said more money doesn't make you a better person!! NO ONE and I mean NO ONE! is better than anyone else, and my heart is sad for those who think they are. No matter how big your house is, how new your car is, or how much money sits in your bank account - we all bleed red and will eventually fade from this earth. Death has no discrimination, and neither should your life. Be kind to others. We are all here to serve. Stop the power tripping. Your oversized ego or your TITLE won't get you anywhere. Be humble and kind!"
Memorial visitation for Denise will be held on Saturday, April 12 from 12 p.m. until time of her memorial service, 1 p.m., at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. (four blocks east of Woodward) in Royal Oak.
Memorial contributions in honor of Denise can be directed to the wishes of the family.
