Dennis Michael Beranek, age 66 of Almont passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was born May 20, 1958 the son of Frank & Irene (Boback) Beranek in Detroit. He graduated from Sterling Heights High School in 1976. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Schultz on August 24, 1979 in Troy. Dennis enjoyed working with vehicles his entire life starting out at J & M Collision then Lockmoore Chrysler in the paint and bump shop and eventually onto General Motor's Tech Center in Warren where he completed his apprenticeship as a Metal Model Maker Engineer. After 30 years he retired from GM Parts Fabrication at the Warren Tech Center. His greatest pleasures in life were his home he built with his wife in Almont, being outdoors and sharing all of that with his grandchildren. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Imlay City.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife Linda Beranek of Almont, his children: Amanda (Matthew) Sygo of Waxhaw, NC and Dennis (Heather) Beranek of Almont and eight grandchildren Maximilian, Dominic, Scarlett, Adalyn, Dennis, Vincent, Marek, and Anthony. He is also survived by his brothers Frank Beranek of Almont and David (Victoria) Beranek of Cleveland, GA and many nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 10:00am – 1:00pm with Service from 1:00-2:00pm all at the Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 2650 S. VanDyke, Imlay City, MI 48444. Memorial Donations can be made in Dennis' name to the St. Jude’s Cancer Research Hospital Fund.
