Kayla was known for her fierce and competitive drive, whether in academics, sports, or everyday challenges. She approached everything with determination and passion. Kayla was never one to back down from a challenge, always striving to do her best while encouraging those around her to do the same!
As one of Kayla's first jobs, she gained a strong work ethic and even stronger skills in customer relations! She started waitressing at Tony's Pizzeria, after leaving there, she moved to Parrot Cove, where she took her brother Ryan along with her for them to work together. Not only did everyone who knew Kayla love her, she also loved her brother more than anything in this world! She protected him, guided him, encouraged him and would do anything for him, no questions asked! Nobody messed with Ryan!
After Parrot Cove, Kayla moved over to Nicky D's Bar and Grill. With so many future adventures and friendships to make, Ryan joined this bar as a bar back! He wanted to be with his sister and Kayla wanted her little brother with her! So many memories were made during the time between Ryan and Kayla working together throughout the years!
An active and vibrant soul, Kayla found joy in skiing down snowy slopes, immersing herself in movies, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and spending time with her close-knit circle of friends. Her laughter, energy and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
A proud graduate of Sterling Heights High School, Kayla went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting from Wayne State University. She also received the honor of graduating with Summa Cum Laude, along with her cousin Thomas. Kayla set a strong foundation for a future full of promise.
Kayla's time with us was far too short, but the love, joy and memories she gave will be cherished forever by her family, friends and all who ever had the privilege of knowing her.
Our precious girl, you were taken way too early. We cannot even believe the nightmare that we are being forced to live! You have always been a fighter, so strong, so beautiful, so determined! We tried so hard!!! We did not want to say goodbye, but we know you are no longer in any pain. To be out of pain is what we want for our little Kayla, even if it means we will have to wait to see you again. Your pain is over as ours continues. We will remember your courage and draw our strength from you. You will live forever in our hearts! And we will continue to love you and the memories you have allowed us to make with you! Until we meet again our precious Kayla! Love Mom, Dad and Ryan.
