Dennis James Farrar, 72, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 4, 2024, in Memphis, TN. All funeral services are to be private. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS) is in charge of arrangements.
Dennis graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with an Electrical Engineering Degree. He received his Master's Degree in Engineering Management from Christian Brothers University.
Dennis and his wife, Pamela, have been each other's one-and-only since Dec. 1977. After they married in 1984, they created a tight-knit and devoted family. Dennis loved his family fiercely and was always their source of wisdom. He passed on his spirit of curiosity and his desire to learn to his children and grandchildren, giving them the skills needed to navigate the world.
In his spare time, Dennis could be found working on projects, building things, woodworking or reading and researching to feed his enormous thirst for knowledge. Dennis was always helping his family with anything (didn't matter what) that they needed or didn't know they needed. He was wonderfully witty and could solve any problem. And he never lost an argument!
Dennis leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Pamela; his son, Jason Ray (Tabitha) Farrar; and his daughter, Mallory Denise (Patrick Bellamy) Farrar. "Poppy" leaves behind his grandchildren, Hannah Renee Farrar and Maxwell Nolan Farrar. Dennis also leaves behind his four siblings: David (Claudia) Farrar, Barbara (Pete) Savage, Janet (Dwayne) Ford and Mark Farrar, who continue to cherish and honor his memory.
Dennis joins his grandson, Sullivan "Sully" Victor Farrar and his parents, Geneva Josephine Reiter Farrar and Wesley Evans Farrar.
