Dennis R. Gloede

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Dennis Gloede (79) on December 23, 2022. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all whose lives he touched.
He grew up in Medina,WI before moving to Appleton. In 1974 he married his loving wife Sheila Shebilske. He worked at Rich Products as a material handler for 34 years. Needing to stay busy after retirement, he began working at Scheels. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he participated in weekly mass and senior luncheons.
Dennis is survived by his spouse Sheila Gloede, and three children, Paul (Stacy) Gloede, Scott (Stacy) Gloede, and Kelly (Kevin) Beyersdorf. He is the adored grandfather of Carson, Colin, and Cora Gloede, and Kyle, Kali, Kamryn, and Kaden Beyersdorf. He is further survived by his two sisters Alice Steffens and Sharon Lichtenberg, and brothers/sisters-in-law Gary (Diane) Shebilske, Kevin (Tina) Shebilske, Wayne (Joan) Shebilske, and Lori Shebilske Hollander and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He lived a full life of service to his family as he was always there to do things for others. He loved to work in his workshop, constructing things for the house and others, but most notably his woodcraft and holiday decorations and lights. He also made his family favorite peanut butter
balls each holiday season, which seemed to get larger and larger each year. He most recently found a passion for growing, making and sharing homemade horseradish with his nephew David Steffens. You could always count on Dennis to provide a listening ear and to fill the room with his humor.
Most of all he loved his family and friends and instilled good values in his children and grandchildren that have served them well. He was committed and present in their lives, making a great impact that will forever last. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Family and friends may gather on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W. Lawrence St., Appleton from 9:30 am until 11:00am, with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00am.
