Dennis L. Hamm, 76, of Vincennes, Indiana went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2026. He was born in Washington, Indiana on July 2, 1949, to the late Grover and Louise Hamm. He graduated from Washington High School in 1967 and continued his education at Vincennes University obtaining his associates degree. Dennis married, the love of his life, Jean A. Hamm on September 12, 1970. He worked as an electrician at Indianapolis Power and Light for 29 years before retiring. Dennis was a proud member of the Wheatland Christian Church and served on the Deacon Board for many years.
In his free time, her enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with his wife, playing saxophone and looking up his family’s genealogy. Dennis was a true family man loving his wife like every man should and proudly carrying 4 coins in his pocket from the birth years of his children since their births. He will be very deeply missed by all he has impacted.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Grover and Louise Hamm; son Derek Hamm; and brother-in-law Michael Harrington.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Hamm; children D. Kyle (Teri) Hamm, Aaron Hamm, Katrina (Clint Kimmel) Hamm; grandchildren Logan (Kassidy) Hamm, Jacob (Autumn) Hamm, Ian Hamm, Greysen (Sijal) Hamm, Brianna (Madalyn) Hamm, Chance (Tanna) Hamm, Lucas Hamm, Isaac (Brenda) Horton, Sayler Hamm, Violet Hamm; great-grandchildren Wesley Hamm and Hayden Baxley; siblings Peggy Fogle, Randy (Shari) Hamm, Lisa (Michael) Wimmenauer, Lori Harrington, Kelly (Tami) Hamm; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Hamm. Visitation will be held April 2, 2026, from 2-4 pm at Wheatland Christian Church. The Celebration of Life will be held at 4 pm with cremation following. Burial at Hamline Chapel will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to the Wheatland Christian Church in Dennis' honor.
