We are gathered in memory of Dennis Steven Klein, a cherished soul who departed this world on March 16, 2024, at Henry Ford Hospital. At 66, Dennis's spirit embarked on its final outdoor adventure, leaving behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and an unbreakable bond with nature.
Born on April 30, 1957, in Highland Park, Michigan, Dennis was the embodiment of strength and resilience, traits instilled in him by his loving parents, Steven Jr., and Genevieve Klein. A proud graduate of Clawson High School in 1975 and Lawrence Technology University, Dennis's passion for engineering paved the way for a distinguished career. His contributions as an electrical engineer were instrumental at Detroit Edison, Ford Motor Company, and finally, as the senior electrical contractor for the University of Michigan Hospital.
Dennis's heart, however, truly belonged to the great outdoors. His spirit was most alive amidst the beauty of nature-boating on serene waters, tinkering with cars in the open air, and fishing, a cherished pastime shared with his father. These moments were not just hobbies; they were reflections of Dennis's soul, a man who found peace and joy in the embrace of nature.
Beyond his professional achievements and adventurous spirit, Dennis was a devoted father to his sons, Brad (Amanda) and Tim, and a doting grandfather to Connor and Ryan. His legacy will live on through them, in the stories of Outdoor adventures, the tinkering projects passed down, and the love of nature instilled in their hearts.
Dennis is lovingly remembered by his siblings, Dinah Hallett and Debbie Klein-Gorman; his daughter-in-law, Erin; and leaves behind a world that was brighter for his presence. He reunites in eternal peace with his parents, Steven Jr. and Genevieve, his brother Larry, and sister Bonnie, who have preceded him in this journey.
We invite friends and family to join us in celebrating Dennis's remarkable life at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., Clawson, MI, on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 PM. A service celebrating his life will commence at 12 PM, followed by his final resting at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan.
In Dennis's memory, let us carry forward his love for life, nature, and the joy of discovery.
