Dennis Lindsey, 56, of Louisville, passed away August 10, 2023, surrounded by his family at Baptist East Hospital. He was born in Fort Hood, TX. He was a son of Jim Lindsey, who survives and the late Mary Alice Lindsey.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Renee Lindsey; two daughters, Kirsten Haysley (Darrell) and Brea Lindsey; a brother, David Lindsey (Angie); two grandchildren, Olivia Whobrey and Tripp Whobrey; niece, Hunter Lindsey and nephew, River Lindsey.
Dennis was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and a tremendous Wildcat fan. He had a passion for Dale Hollow Lake where he spent most weekends with his wife, family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially out west. There he lived out his dream of being a real cowboy followed by his second dream of owning a Kentucky Derby winner.
Dennis never met a stranger, and he was always the life of the party. His stories were legendary and will live forever. Dennis had a collection of friends from various parts of his life that all became connected by their love of him. Dennis was the center of this group and loved nothing more than gathering them together.
Dennis lived for his family especially the love of his life, Renee and his pride and joy, Brea.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 13th at Owen Funeral Home- Jeffersontown. Following the visitation there will be a Time of Remembrance for friends and families to share stories and memories.
