Dennis W. Lynn

Dennis Lynn, 52, of Oakford, Illinois, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 4:02 am surrounded by loved ones in his home. He was born in Springfield, Illinois, to Harold and Norma (Cohenour) Lynn. He married Debra (Barlow) Lynn on May 6, 1995, at the First Baptist Church of Greenview, Illinois.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Debra, of Oakford; two daughters, Pandora Lynn and Alexandria Lynn of Oakford; a sister, Tammy McBride (Jason Johnson) of Oakford; his nieces and nephews, Kristina (Matt) Yeates of Buffalo, Koadey Lynn of Joliet, Keith (Erica) McBride of Pleasant Plains, Kyle McBride of Oakford and Koarey Lynn. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Lynn.
Dennis attended Oakford Elementary School and graduated from PORTA High School in 1991. He worked as a CNA in Menard County. He then worked at Eaton in Petersburg until that business closed. He later worked at Jacksonville Machine. He most recently worked at PORTA CUSD #202 as a janitor.
Dennis was a Chicago Cubs fan. He loved to skateboard and play video games. He enjoyed collecting comic books and was a talented artist himself. He liked cooking on the grill and family get togethers.
Dennis was a hard worker and was willing to help anyone in need. He had many wonderful friends and will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 10:00 am at Oakford Cemetery in Oakford, Illinois. A celebration of life will be held at the Oakford Town Hall on Sunday, June 8, 2025, beginning at 1:00 pm.
