Ryan Golden, 41, of Springfield, Illinois, formerly of Tallula, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 23, 1983, in Decatur, Illinois, to Eric and Deedee Golden.
Ryan was a member of the Petersburg Church of Christ. He was a graduate from PORTA High School where he excelled in sports. After high school, he attended and played baseball at MacMurray College. He then studied accounting at UIS. He loved playing baseball for the Springfield Statesmen under Coach Finnegan. He dedicated his time serving at the Helping Hands Homeless Shelter in Springfield. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and cooking. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Eric and Deedee; his siblings, Audra (husband James) Horn, Korie Golden, Emily (husband Zach) Brown, Taylor (husband Matt) Knous, Annie (husband Chris) Perron and Andrew (wife Annie) Golden; and eleven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Hazel Golden, and Jim and Marjorie Butcher; and an aunt, Debbie Johnson.
A private graveside service will be held at Rock Creek Cemetery in Tallula, Illinois, with Pastor Nick Sutton officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hand of Springfield, 2200 Shale St, Springfield, Illinois 62703.

Sorry for your loss. I know what it´s like to lose an adult son . Lost my son 12/15/2024, he was 33 years old and homeless. Might have known your son Anthony. Your in my thoughts and prayers.
