Retired Essex County Police Officer
Dennis J. Mazza, 73, of Nutley, passed away on October 21, 2025. Born in Queens, NY, he resided in Clifton prior to moving to Nutley 50 years ago. Dennis was the son of the late John and Ann (Chorney) Mazza. He retired from the Essex County Police Department Police, was a member of the department's mounted unit. Dennis was a member of the Blue Knights Internation VII, and an avid fisherman. Dennis is survived by his loving wife Toni (Comunelli) Mazza, his son Anthony Mazza, and his wife Laura, his three grandchildren Dominic, Anthony and Luca.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 4-7pm, A funeral service will take place at 6:30pm.
Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to American Cancer Society (www.Cancer.org)
