Dominic Mazza, 65,entered into eternal rest on April 14,2024. The son of the lateJames and Margaret (Long) Mazza, Dominic grew up in the South End of Springfield, attending Springfield Technical High Schoolwhere he made many lifelong friendships.
He married Marie (Welch) Mazza in 1981,and they shared many happy years until she passed in 2015.
Dominic worked for many years as a Maintenance Supervisorat West Springfield High School, where he took great pride in caring for the building and the students; he retiredin 2020.
Those who knew Dominic best would describe him as a loyal 'old-school' Italian. To Dominic, family was his biggest priority and his greatest joy.
He leaves behind his loving son, Vincent Mazzaof West Springfield, brother, David Mazzaof Springfield, extended family,andmany friends.
Along with his wife andparents, hewas predeceased by his sister, Donna (Mazza) Richburg.
Dominics family and friends take greatcomfort that he is nowreunited in Heaven with his loving wife Marie, who he has missed tremendously forall ofthese years.
Family & friends are invited to Dominics10 a.m.Liturgy of Christian Burialon Monday, April 29th at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church,123 William Street in Springfield. His burial will be private.
