Dennis Lee Sharp

Dennis Lee Sharp, 66, of Butlerville, passed away at 3:03 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born April 1, 1956, in Seymour, he was the son of the late Byford and Nancy (Bartlett) Sharp. He married DeAnn Perkins Yeager on June 27, 2015, at the North Vernon Church of the Nazarene; she survives.
Dennis was a 1976 graduate of South Decatur High School and was currently working for Morgan's Landscaping in North Vernon and P&Y Farms in Butlerville. He had previously worked for Nappon Steel Pipe America in Seymour for 9 years, retiring on April 1, 2019, and Martinrea in North Vernon for 20 years. Dennis was a member of Risen Saviour Bible Church in North Vernon and a former member of the North Vernon Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed playing basketball, farming, mowing grass, and was a I.U. and Indianapolis Colts Fan. Dennis loved spending time with his family.
Surviving with his wife, DeAnn Yeager-Sharp; are his daughter, Amanda Manning of Freetown; sons, Josh (Katie) Yeager and Jeremy Yeager, both of Butlerville; brothers, David (Bernadine) Sharp, Ronald Sharp and Donald Sharp, all of North Vernon; sister, Debbie Gootee of North Vernon; grandchildren, Kinze Yeager and Amber Yeager, both of Butlerville, Brittany Yeager and Sierra Goen, both of North Vernon; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Michael and Steve Sharp.
A funeral service for Dennis will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Gary Haines and Rev. Caleb Reynolds officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at a later date in Vernon Cemetery.
