DENNIS F. SUNDERMEIER, age 80, peacefully passed away Monday, August 12, 2024. He was born to the late Donald and Dorothy (nee Brandt) Sundermeier in Cleveland, Ohio on October 9, 1943. Dennis proudly served his country in the US Army in Vietnam. He retired after 40 years as a supervisor for the US Postal Service. Dennis was a long-time member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church where he served as an usher. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and going to their sporting events. Dennis will be missed by all who knew him.
Left to celebrate Dennis' life is his beloved wife of 57 years, Judy; his loving children, Scott (Debbie) Sundermeier, Sandy (John) Jagniszczak, Steven (Sarah) Sundermeier and Denny (Tracy) Sundermeier; his adoring grandchildren, Allie (Tom), Courtney, Brad, Scotty, Megan, Caleb, Silas, Naomi, Henry and Elliott; his brother, Roger Sundermeier; and many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Gary Sundermeier, and his son-in-law, Scott Zipp.
Family will welcome friends from 2:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Waite Funeral Home located at 3300 Center Road in Brunswick. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 19, 2024, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1330 N Carpenter Road in Brunswick at 11:00am, with 1-hour prior visitation starting at 10:00am. Burial with Military Honors to follow at Hope Memorial Garden in Hinckley.
