Dennis James Tylor

Martinez, GA – Funeral Services for Mr. Dennis James Tylor, 69, who entered into rest September 15, 2024, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with Father Peter Lanshima and Rev. Ed Traxler officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
Dennis was born April 20, 1955, in Long Branch, NJ, to the late Stanley and Catherine Tylor. He moved to Augusta with his family as a child and he was of the Catholic faith. Dennis attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and later graduated from Aquinas High School in 1973. Dennis was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and retired from the United States Postal Service with over 33 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Judy Whaley. Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 33 years, Freda C. Tylor; his daughters, Bridgett Witt (Morgan) of San Diego, CA and Heather Pearson of Augusta, GA; three grandchildren, Jarrett Pearson (Breanna), Sienna Witt, and Mckenzie Witt; one great-grandson, Brigham Pearson.
Pallbearers will be Danny Craig, Jarrett Pearson, Phil Campbell, K.C. Jones, Greg Jones, and Greg Panzella.
