Augusta, GA – Joshua Francis Jackson, 45, entered into rest Sunday, January 5, 2025 at his home.
In November of 1979, Josh was born in Auburn, Alabama. He graduated from Aquinas High School in 1997 and worked at Kroger for over 15 years and most recently at Publix. He thrived in customer service and was loved by all his coworkers and customers because of his genuine spirit and humor.
Josh was an avid Auburn fan, golfer, and all things family oriented. He was also a food enthusiast, music lover, and had an impeccable sense of humor. He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.
He is survived by his son: Aden Jackson; Aden’s mother: Christine Jackson; mother: Janice Wagner; father: Marty Jackson (Penny Jackson); maternal grandmother: Alice Mosley; paternal grandfather: Horace T. Jackson; sisters: Ashley Whipple (Jeremy Whipple) and McKinley Waugh (TK Waugh); niece: Alice Whipple; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gloria Martin Jackson and Thomas Francis Savage Jr.
The funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Fr. Tim McKeown celebrant. Interment will follow in the church columbarium. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service, beginning at 12 Noon, at the church.
The family encourages all in attendance to wear orange and blue for Josh’s love of Auburn University.
