Dennis M. Vitelli

Dennis Michael Vitelli, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away suddenly on April 28, 2025, at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of Carmela Vitelli, and the proud father of David Vitelli and Jason Vitelli (wife Melissa). His greatest joy in life was being a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Ryan and Sienna. Dennis grew up in Queens and served the City of New York as a dedicated sanitation worker for over 20 years. A resilient and hardworking man, he made many sacrifices to give his family the life he worked so hard for. He also dedicated his life to his faith, guided by a strong spiritual connection to God. He was known for his sharp sense of humor, big personality, and incredible generosity. Whether joking with neighbors on his daily walks or lighting up the room with stories and laughter, Dennis had a way of making everyone feel welcome. He was also an avid handball player, a passionate Mets fan, and a lover of lasagne and cookies - simple pleasures that brought him joy every day. Dennis lived a full and meaningful life, marked by strength, growth, faith, and unwavering love for his family.
