Dennis is preceded in passing by his parents William Clifford and Enid Eileen Wainscott; his daughter, Rebecca Wainscott; and his sister-in-law, Marlena Wainscott.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Wainscott; son, Joshua (Christy) Wainscott; three brothers, Bob Wainscott, Pat (Lois) Wainscott, and Mike (Janina) Wainscott; Granddaughters Alycia (DeAnna) Lucas and Alina Wainscott and several nieces and nephews.
Beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He will be forever remembered by all that knew him. Dennis was the Chief of Police in Edon, Ohio, and the deputy Sheriff of the Williams County Sheriff Department in Bryan, Ohio. Over the years during his working career, he also managed many auto part stores and was a Pastor of the Celtic Ministry.
A funeral service to honor his life will be held at the Hillsdale Assembly of God, 4075 Beck Road, Jonesville, Michigan 49250, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, beginning at 11:00 A.M. with pastor Les Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsdale. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Contributions in memory of Dennis may be made to the family.
