David Draper

David Eugene Draper, born on February 7, 1943 to Violet and Eugene Draper, passed away on November 7, 2025.
Dave graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1961 and then joined the U.S. Navy in 1965. He was on five ships and located to many places. Italy was his favorite. He retired after 20 years as a Lieutenant. He then worked 15 years for the government. In 1981, while he was stationed in Whidbey Island, Washington, he married Linda Adams Sanders. They enjoyed concerts, sports and traveling together. They attended Grace Bible Church in Port Orchard, Washington. Dave was a church treasurer, and taught Navigator Studies and Corrected Lessons for Prison Missions. He also helped Linda with Stone Craft Ministries. They eventually returned to the Jonesville area in June of 2015.
Dave was preceded in passing by his parents; siblings, Bob Draper and Dema Matteson.
He is survived by his children, Wm Scott (Victoria) Sanders, Penny (Roberto) Carrizales and Dwight (Taryn) Sanders-Sheats; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Dorothy Draper.

To honor David's life, a visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 11:00am until the time of the service beginning at 1:00pm at the Hampton Funeral Home in Hillsdale with pastor Keith Porter officiating.
