Denver Terry Cloer, 76, of Gonzales passes away peacefully Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Denver was born January 9, 1949 in Rosebud, Texas to A.Z. and Sallie Viola Cagle Cloer. He married Caroline Elizabeth Fink on March 17, 1979 in Monthalia.
Denver was a man of many passions, each one a reflection of his spirit. Music was the rhythm of his life-whether he was playing on the Grand Ole Opry stage or in a smoky dance hall, it brought him joy and forged lifelong friendships. He had a deep appreciation for old cars, seeing them not just as machines, but as living stories on wheels-pieces of history he loved to keep alive. His Harley Davidson wasn't just a bike; it was freedom, adventure, and the thrill of the open road, a reminder to live life wide open and when he sat at his radios, his voice could travel across miles and space, making friends with people he'd never met as if they were right next door. He wove all of these passions together into a life that was vibrant, curious, and full of heart. His life reflected the joy that comes from doing what you love, and that true connection-whether through music, engines, rides, or voices carried over the airwaves-is what gives life its deepest meaning.
Denver is survived by his loving family, wife of 46 years, Caroline Elizabeth Cloer, daughter, Crystal Dyo Moore both of Gonzales, son, John Cloer and wife Robin of Waco, grandchildren, Cason, Payton, Blake and Riley Moore and Kyle Fortenberry who Denver embraced as one of his own. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, James Terry Cloer, brother, James Cloer and sisters, Audrey Miller and Yvonne Cloer.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
