Derek enjoyed walking his cats. He loved animals and exploring nature. He liked his walks to the park in Winamac. Derek also enjoyed fishing and swimming. Most of all, he enjoyed his daily calls to his mother. Derek often said that the most important thing in life is family.

Cremation will take place at the Frain Crematory.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
