Derrick Gene Bartram Jr., 25 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Friday, August 25, 2023.
Derrick was born on May 10th, 1998, to Autumn Marie Napier and Derrick Gene Bartram Sr. After becoming the first high school graduate in his immediate family from attending Franklin Central High School, he went on to do many things, but above all, he was Derrick. He was an extremely dedicated hard worker in any field he picked up. He loved practicing Muay Thai and watching MMA, or really any Martial Arts matches. He was always learning something new or perfecting something else; he was always the best version of himself he could be. But most memorably, Derrick was a break of laughter in a silent room, the comedic relief no one asked for, but everyone needed.
Derrick is preceded in death by his mother, Autumn Marie Napier; father, Derrick Gene Bartram Sr.; stepfather, Gary Dwayne Neal; older brother, Joshua David Napier; and great-grandmother, Nava Marie Williams.
He is survived by his younger brother, Devin Wayne Neal; younger sister, Shaylie Rain Neal Rusie; grandmother, Anna Marie Williams; grandfather, Larry Napier; and Sophia Nicholson.
Visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2023, 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.
Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm and burial immediately to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
