Derrick J. “DJ” Palmer, 36, of Marysville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
A 2004 graduate of Marysville High School, DJ worked as an auto detailer for many years. Never one to sit still, he was always active and kept himself busy. He enjoyed canoeing and had a deep love for animals, especially his dog Bernice.
Born August 23, 1985 in Columbus, he was the son of David Palmer and Michele (Atherton) Palmer. His father survives in North Lewisburg and his mother survives in Marysville. He is also survived by his brothers, Matthew David Palmer of Huntington, WV, Kenneth Charles Palmer of Greenup, KY and Darrel Scott Palmer of Los Angeles, CA; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 P.M. Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Union County Humane Society. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilsonfuneralhomesinc.com
