Diana Lea Hauser 77, of Epping, died peacefully on November 17, 2025.
She was born on April 3, 1948 in Roswell New Mexico, the only child of the late Samuel
and Myrtle Welch. As the daughter of a career non-commissioned officer in the Army
during the Cold War, she moved frequently and lived on military bases in Texas,
Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Georgia and Germany. After her father retired,
they returned back to the North Shore where she graduated from Newburyport High
School in 1966 and later earned an associate's degree from Northern Essex Community
College.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Wayne, of 52 years and her daughter-in-law
Lesley Hauser. Diana is survived by her 3 sons: James and his wife Meghan of Boston;
Wayne Jr. and his wife Amy of Kensington; and her youngest son, Thomas of Epping.
She was the loving grandmother of Wayne Jr.'s sons: Jordan and Hunter as well as
James' children: James Jr., Victoria, Caroline, Brendan and Jack.
She was an adoring aunt to Barbara Van Schoor, Danielle Prevett, Rick Bernier Jr.,
John Hauser Jr. and Michelle Hauser.
She will be interned at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery next to her
husband. Her funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, Charlestown MA on
Thursday, November 20 th at 10:00 a.m.
