She was born March 26, 1943 in Hot Springs, AR to the late Denver and Jessie Hecke.
Diana was preceded in death by her 6 brothers - Bunk, Earl, Walter, Bill, Bobby, and Roy Hecke, and 3 sisters - Delia Charlotte Ward, Shirley Dee Beckham, and Joann Beckwith.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jerry Hawthorn. She was a devoted mother to Gary (Kim) Hawthorn and Laura (Greg) Thompson. A loving grandmother to Corby (Jeff) Hedges, Heidi (Jared) Wilson, Nickelette (Justin) Williams, and Payton (Cody) Looper, and a beloved great grandmother to Garrison, Gatlynn, Josiah, Miles, Nova, Amelia, Blakely, Baylee, and Brielle.
Diana was a member of Oakhill Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to be outside mowing the yard, tending to her beautiful flowers, and feeding the hummingbirds. She passed on her love of arts & crafts fairs and flea markets to her grand-daughters. She never missed an opportunity to decorate for all of the holidays. She always made sure her grandkids and great- grandkids were taken care of and well dressed. There wasn't a time that we walked in her house without all the kids getting a cookie. We will miss her every day.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26th from 11 AM to 12 PM at Oakhill Missionary Baptist Church loacted at 532 Danville Rd, Hot Springs, Arkansas with service following immediately at 12 PM with Bro. Sam Ault officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oakhill Missionary Baptist Building Fund.

I´m so sorry to hear of Diana´s passing. What an amazing and kind person. I always enjoyed every moment at the Hawthorn house. My deepest condolences to the whole family for this loss.

I am so very thankful that me and my sister dawn got to spend some time with aunt Diana last year. One of our best memories of visiting arkansas with grandpa and grandma was going to aunt Diana and uncle Jerry's house. I know that my mom (Susie) and my grandpa bunk and grandma lea were
waiting with open arms for her right along with rest of her loved ones. I'm sending my deepest condolences to uncle Jerry and all of the family. I pray for strength and comfort at this time.
