Diana D. Hoover, 59, of Tiffin, passed away on January 14, 2021 at her residence.
Diana was born in Toledo on December 4, 1961, to Ted and Marilyn (Beck) Lange. She married Ron Hoover in Tiffin on November 2, 1985. Ted preceded her in death, and she is survived by Marilyn, Ron, daughter Amanda of Arlington, SD, son Thomas of Tiffin, and a brother Phil (Linda) Lange of Clinton, SC.
A 1980 graduate of Eastwood High School, Diana grew up in Pemberville as 'Dee Dee' in a large extended family. She enjoyed making cookies with her Grandma, playing with her many cousins, and camping trips to historical battle sites. After graduating from Tiffin University with a degree in Secretarial Science, Diana worked for Tiffin Scenic Studios, where she met Ron, claiming to know right away he was 'the one.' They enjoyed 35 years of marriage. Diana loved supporting her children in all their activities - helping with Girl and Boy Scouts, Band Boosters, teaching Sunday School, directing the Youth Choir, advising their 4-H club, joining the Tiffin-Sentinel FFA Alumni, and more. Her additional employment included secretarial work at Tiffin University, Tiffin Developmental Center, Seneca & Hancock County Farm Bureau Offices, Smart Stuff educational store, and many years as secretary at St. John's United Church of Christ. Photography was a loved hobby, as well as collecting antiques, reading, enjoying nature & pets (mostly cats!), and especially spending time with her family. Diana was a kind person who always made others feel welcome, and loved to make people laugh.
Diana is buried at Washington Chapel Cemetery, where there was a private graveside service in January. Friends and family are now invited to honor Diana's life with a service at St. John's United Church of Christ on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Youth Center at the Seneca County Fairgrounds.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's United Church of Christ or to the Seneca County Humane Society.
