Diana M. Popp is in the care of Mott-McKamey Funeral Home. Diana passed away August 7, 2025 at the age of 91 at Canterfield of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was born September 4th, 1933 to Ralph and Stella Marriott in Pontiac, Michigan.
Diana earned her Bachelor of Science and certification in Medical Technology from the University of Michigan, where she met her husband, Raymond. They were happily married for 65 years, until Ray’s passing in January of 2020. For 40 years, Diana and Ray were research scientists working in the same laboratory at the Biology Division of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Diana authored over 60 research publications, some co-authored with her husband. Diana was preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, and siblings Dutch, Ralph and Frank. Diana is survived by her daughter and 3 sons, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Expressions of love and respect may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of choice in honor of Diana’s life. Please post memories on the Mott-McKamey wall for all to share and celebrate Diana’s amazing life.
