Diana Jo West (Abbott), lovingly known as Mom and Nanny, went to be with the Lord at the age of 80 on October 28, 2025, in Knoxville, TN.
She was born on January 10, 1945, in Knoxville, TN, to parents Allen and Jean Abbott.
Diana graduated from Rubidoux High School in Riverside, California, and later earned her associate's degree. After college, she dedicated 12 years to Sears. She later worked at Madi Grace Boutique and was also the former owner of Taco Rancho.
She attended Old Callahan Baptist Church, where her kindness and steady faith touched all who knew her. Diana had a deep love for all things Disney and never passed up a chance to play Bingo. She was an avid reader who especially loved reading Western and romance novels. She also loved exploring new recipes in her cookbooks, always excited to share a new dish with family and friends. In her free time, she loved relaxing with a bit of online shopping.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Jean Abbott, as well as her niece, Amanda Dawn Abbott.
She is survived by her one and only loving daughter, ShawnNa Jean (Rich) Kettleman; her beloved "Angel Boy" grandson, Taylor Shaun (Ashley) Abbott; and her great-grandchildren, her "Angel Girl," Madi Mae, and her "Prince Charming," Beckham Allen. She is also survived by her brothers, Jerry Lynn (Charla) Abbott and Steven Abbott, as well as her baby brother, Larry (Teresa) Abbott; special cousin, Pamela Jo (John) Newton; and numerous nephews and nieces, as well as great-nephews and great-nieces.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Tiffany "Tiff" and Dr. Aaron Smyth for their care and support.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM on November 18, 2025, at Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel (9020 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37923). A memorial service will follow, officiated by Bro. Mark McCool with First Apostolic Church Knoxville.
