Diane Armstrong, age 82, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away on October 23, 2025, at Albertville Nursing Home. She was born on March 18, 1943, to the late Robert and Frances Armstrong.
Affectionately known as "Shorty," Diane was a true workaholic who dedicated many years to the Marshall County Tax Assessor's Office. She loved Bingo, penny pinching, and doting on children. Known as the beloved "Aunt Candy," she was famous for her endless supply of Tootsie Rolls and her fiery, unforgettable personality. She was deeply loved by her family, friends, and the staff at Albertville Nursing Home.
She is survived by her sisters, Sarah Armstrong and Pat (Tim) Burke; brother, Lamar Armstrong; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley (Buddy) Tabor and Mary Joyce (Henry) Bearden, and brother-in-law, Birdie Catalano.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with Bro. Tony Simmons and Bro. David Bearden officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Trey Roberson, Will Bearden, Ross Bearden, Jon Bearden, William Snell, and Briggs Patterson.
The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
