Graveside services for Mrs. Diane Vestal Butter will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Butter Cemetery, Forest Hill, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Diane Vestal Butter, better known as "Granny," was born on October 21, 1956, in Conroe, Texas. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on January 25, 2025, in Ville Platte, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Bennie Vestal and Ella (Vestal) Taylor and the stepdaughter of R.C. Taylor.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her devoted husband and caregiver, Wayne Butter; her loving children, Ashley LaVergne (John), Coleman Butter (Kayla), and Travis Butter (Christina); and her cherished grandchildren, Kari Butter, Benjamin Butter, Hadleigh Butter, Isla LaVergne, Everett Butter, Reid Butter, and Morgan LaVergne. She is also survived by her sister, Pat Douglas, as well as her cousins, Burl Clark and Peggy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Vestal and Ella (Vestal) Taylor; and her stepfather, R.C. Taylor.
Diane's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to Allegiance Hospice Care, Caney Creek Baptist Church, and Rayburn Church in the Country for being so amazing during our time of need.
