GASTON, IN – Diane E. (Reff) Cowart, 78, entered peace and rest from the University Nursing Center in Upland on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, following an extended illness.
She was born in Bluffton on July 16, 1947, to Charles and Erma (Teagle) Reff. Diane was a graduate of Montpelier High School-Class of 1965. She was a woman of many skills and talents and was dedicated to family and friends. Diane was committed to excellence in everything she did from homemaking and gardening to working in retail shops and restaurants in the states where she resided. Diane was a people person who always had a big smile for you. She enjoyed singing and dancing with her karaoke friends at the Muncie American Legion.
Survivors:
Daughter-Tracy (Hank) Jackson of Grands, Texas
2 Grandchildren-Nicolas Jackson of Nashville, Tennessee, Megan Robinson of McKinney, Texas
Brother-Randy Reff (Terri Finch) of Matthews
2 Nephews-Gabriel Reff of Gaston, Jason Reff of Crossville, Tennessee
Niece-Brandy Reff of Alexandria
Sister-in-law-Helen Reff and Nephew Charlie Bob of Fairmount
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband-David Cowart in 2004, a brother Steven Reff
