DIANE GRIMM MORTON – Diane J. Grimm, 76, of Morton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton. She was born on October 25, 1947, in Peoria, to William Jr. and Eula (Yoder) Grimm. Surviving are her sisters-in-law, Sara Grimm of Morton and Dorothy Grimm of Norwalk, Conn.; nieces and nephews, Cristi (Doug) Schaffnit, Cesli (Gino) Vaccaro, William Derek (Jenna) Grimm, Kathy (Tim) Harrington, David Grimm, Marni Grimm and Liora (Mark) Grimm Swartz; great nieces and nephews, Katie (Paul) Velting, Lindsay Mathers, Kelly Schaffnit, Ryan Schaffnit, Isaiah Vaccaro, Rachel Vaccaro, Myah Grimm, Zach Grimm, Leslie (Guido) Porto, Stephanie (Nawfel) Benrahmoune, Scott (Melissa) Harrington, Lexi Grimm, Ben Grimm, Dylan Katz, Ellie Katz, Margo Swartz and Ezra Swartz; and great-great nieces and nephews, Henry and Adeline Velting, Ainsleigh Mathers, Layla and Kenzi Benrahmoune and Aria Porto. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dean, Jack and Ronald and a sister-in-law, Lois Grimm. Diane worked at Apostolic Christian LifePoints in Morton. She found great joy in the beauty of God's creation and cherished many special memories traveling with family and friends through the years. Diane had a great love for her nieces and nephews and enjoyed being around all their children. Diane also enjoyed music and reading. She had a creative mind and enjoyed working on crafts, doing puzzles and creating art. Diane had taught Sunday school and vacation Bible School at her church. She was a member of Morton Apostolic Christian Church, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, with church ministers officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:15 a.m., prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Morton Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.
