Diane Hathcock
Okolona - Diane Presley Hathcock, 79, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the North MS Medical Center Hospice Unit. A lifelong resident of Okolona, she was born May 25, 1945 to Floyd and Hazel Presley. She was an accomplished seamstress working many years at Avon Furniture. She was a Baptist. She loved listening to music, camping and fishing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Monday at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Houston with Bro. Johnny Cherry officiating. Burial will follow in Boone's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 Sunday and 11 to 1 Monday at Southern Funeral Home. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her 5 children, Johnnie Heair of Pontotoc, David Heair of Pontotoc, Madrin Griggs (Marvin) of Okolona, Chad Mitchem (Judy) of Houston and Nikki McKiney (Ryan) of Houston;16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Toby Hathcock; one sister, Madrin Inmon; three brothers, Floyd Presley, Johnny Presley and T.J. Presley; one brother-in-law, J.C. Inmon.
Pallbearers will be Delane Griggs, Hunter Griggs, Van Griggs, J.T. Naron, Heath Heair, D.J. Heair, Kody Reynolds and John Inmon.
