Diane Inks, 73, was a two-time survivor of breast cancer and passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, February 5, 2026, following a courageous battle with a recent cancer.
Diane was born on August 29, 1952, in Scranton, PA. Raised in Scranton, she lived in Chesterton, Indiana before relocating to sunny Florida.
Diane was a loving wife and married for 52 years to her college sweetheart, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family and being an active member of the Orthodox Church. She loved to teach pre/school students in both religious and academic settings, enjoyed spending time at the beach, and read books in her free time.
Diane is survived by her husband, David W. Inks, of Jacksonville, FL; sons, Gregory W. (Sylvia), of Raleigh NC, and Justin D.,of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Adam and Nicholas, of Raleigh, NC; brother, Harry Harvilchuck and wife Linda, of Satsuma, FL; brother-in-law, David Crea; two nieces, Ms. Larissa Frye, of Scranton, PA, and daughter, Penny Stein, and Ms. Tamara Korpak, of Cameron, NC, and sons, Luke A. Korpak and Logan J. Korpak.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Nadia Crea.
Visitation will be held at 1pm and Funeral Service will be at 1:30pm on Thursday, February 12th in St. Justin Martyr Orthodox Church by the Very Rev. David Rucker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), a non-profit dedicated to investing in research for innovative science to improve outcomes and saves lives - https://www.bcrf.org
