Diane Faith Jordan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on April 3, 2025, in Tallmadge, Ohio, at the age of 84. Born on February 7, 1941, in Buffalo, New York, Diane lived a life rich in love, creativity, and dedication to her family and community.
Diane was a proud member of the East Aurora High School graduating class of 1959. After marrying her cherished husband, Steven Jordan, on July 11, 1964, in East Aurora, they embarked on a life journey that would take them from New York to Indiana in 1971, then to Kentucky in the fall of 2003, and finally to Tallmadge, Ohio, in August 2024, where they could bask in the joy of their great-grandchildren. Her health declined quickly once she arrived in Ohio.
In her professional life, Diane served as an instructional assistant at North Webster Elementary School in Indiana, where she touched the lives of countless students with her warmth and dedication. A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Warsaw, Indiana, as well as Crossroads Christian Church in Newburgh, Indiana, Diane exemplified a life of faith and service, with her church community holding a special place in her heart.
Diane's love for art was manifest in her passion for painting, demonstrating her creativity and artistic flair. She was also renowned as an expert pie baker, with holidays becoming a canvas for her joyful spirit as she decorated and celebrated with those she loved most. Family was everything to Diane, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Jordan (Lindsey) Lee and Ethan (Kaily Hauck) Lee, as well as her great-grandchildren, Bryson and Mackenna Lee.
Diane's legacy will always live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind: her loving husband of 60 years, Steven Jordan; her daughter, Heather Lee; her grandchildren; and her great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind siblings Carol Morrell and Doris Meatyard, as well as her sister-in-law, Betty Reed.
Diane's passing is mourned by all who had the privilege of knowing her, including her extended family, friends, and those whose lives she touched throughout her remarkable life. She is reunited with her parents, Glen and Mable (Dubois) Reed; her son, Christopher; her son-in-law, Scott Lee; and siblings Parker Reed, Bill Reed, Ellen London, Shirley Kalinowski, Russell Reed, and Doug Reed.
Her spirit of love, artistry, and service remains a beautiful legacy, reminding us all of the importance of family, faith, and connection.
